About Me

Hi, I’m Dani Menendez — I am currently a Junior Architect with a strong foundation in Interior Architecture and an unwavering passion for creating spaces that not only function well but elevate the human experience. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in May of 2024, where I developed a comprehensive understanding of the built environment and how architecture and interior design seamlessly intersect.

My approach to design is rooted in thoughtful collaboration, technical precision, and a deep appreciation for how people interact with the spaces around them. During my professional experience,  I had the opportunity to work on a variety of project types including educational, residential, and civic spaces. I’ve been involved in projects from concept development through construction administration, allowing me to gain hands-on experience with site visits, client meetings, and design coordination with engineers and consultants.

I am proficient in industry-standard programs including Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and the Adobe Creative Suite, as well as visualization tools like Enscape and Lumion. These skills enable me to bring ideas to life through compelling presentations, detailed construction documents, and photorealistic renderings. I’ve also gained valuable leadership experience through my roles on the CoAD Student Advisory Board, the University of Tennessee Senior Impact Council, and as Mental Health Chair for Alpha Chi Omega. These roles have shaped my ability to communicate effectively, solve problems creatively, and advocate for others within academic and professional settings.

As a designer, I am driven by curiosity, attention to detail, and the belief that successful spaces are those that reflect both functionality and beauty. I believe thoughtful design has the power to positively impact people’s daily lives, and I’m excited to continue growing as a designer committed to that vision. I am especially passionate about integrated design approaches that consider materiality and the well-being of the people who use the space every day.

I’m eager to continue growing as a designer and contributing to projects that challenge me to think critically, collaborate effectively, and create environments that leave a lasting, positive impact.
